Happy Mother's Day!

Hi family and Happy Mothers Day!! I'm excited to get to talk to you this weekend :) I feel like I never have a dull week but so much has happened and I never quite know where to start. So, transfers were yesterday. Sister DeArton was sent out to Mililani so she is no longer at the VC...but I am and I will stay in the Tongan ward. My new companion is Sister Han from South Korea and she is a recent convert and still learning English. Like I said...never a dull moment haha. I am so excited to serve with her and to learn from her, she has a very unique background and situation but she loves the Lord and has a very strong testimony and that is what's important.

This week in the Visitors Center was amazing. I met some wonderful people who were so ready and prepared to hear the message of the gospel. It's hard to be a Visitor Center sister because I can't specifically prepare for those that I am going to teach in the VC, I just have to be so intune with the spirit all the time to discern their needs and share with them what they need to hear. Those promptings come so fast and it's so important to be ready for whatever comes. So anyway, I have been having all sorts of crazy experiences with people coming in that have questions that directly relate to what I had studied that morning. One couple from Pennsylvania came in and asked all about our life after death, and I was able to answer their questions because I had just studied in the Book of Mormon about that a couple hours earlier. I was able to teach them by the Spirit and help them to learn about and recognize the truth of the gospel.

It reminds me of the importance of being an instrument in the hands of the Lord which is a calling that we all have. In Alma 17:9 it says "they fasted and prayed much that the Lord would grant unto them a portion of his Spirit to go with them, and abide with them, that they might be an instrument in the hands of God." How great it is to be prepared for what the Lord is ready to trust me with and to see how much more I am blessed to help people when I have done all I can to be used for His purposes. The feeling is incredible and it is something that I will continue to work on so that God can always use me as a tool in His hands.

I love you so much! Don't forget to tell your mom how much you love her :)

PS- Sister Swenson, I can't believe that you are home already! I wish I could be there to see you :)
